Brook End Repton
Two storey rear extension, feature glazing to front, internal alterations & modernisation.
Our client was looking to transform a very unattractive 4 bedroom 1980’s brick faced home into a more attractive and modern 4 bedroom property. The Hall was compact and the Dining Room very small. The first floor had one small bathroom, an important part of the brief was to create a luxury Master Bedroom/Dressing Room and En-Suite.
You now enter the property through the two storey high glazed entrance into a spacious Gallery Hall with seamless views into the rear garden. A 5.5m rear extension provided and open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room with large folding doors into the garden. The small existing Entrance Hall was rebuilt with a reclaimed style brick and transformed into a Study with new vaulted roof and feature gable glazing.
The first floor extension provided the Master Bedroom/Dressing and En-Suite. The internal layout was remodelled to provide a second Bedroom with En-Suite and large Family Bathroom. The design had to be sympathetic to The Conservation Area, we introduced a reclaimed style brick chimney stack and brick corbel detail to the eaves and verges, the whole property had replacement windows, new doors and feature glazing finished in a pale grey to contrast the new white render, a striking transformation.
