Burley Lane – Quarndon
Alteration to Internal Layout, Garage Conversion, Single Storey Rear Extension, Loft Conversion Including Raising Existing Roof & Modernisation
Our client was looking to extend and update their 5 bedroom 1970’s brick faced home into a more modern open plan and better laid out property. There was an integral Garage, the Kitchen and Hall were compact and the Utility was at the opposite end of the house. Our client did not need a Garage and required an additional Bedroom. The brief was to create a luxury Master Bedroom with En-suite and a new Bedroom with En-suite and we also provided another En-suite which was shared by two Bedrooms. On the wish list was a Gym built into the area below the ground floor level and leading onto the garden.
The roof needed raising to enable us to provide a suitable 6th Bedroom which gave us the opportunity to completely change the kerb appeal and overall look of this property. Incorporating full height feature glazing to the front in aluminium, we were able to create a Gallery Hall and Landing which is a key feature of this property. The internal ground floor space has been remodelled to provide a modern open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living space. The Garage was converted to provide a Utility off the Kitchen. By using modern materials such as composite cladding, composite fascias and soffits, modern roof tiles, render finish to all walls and aluminium sliding door and windows throughout we created a new build appearance.
