New Build Detached House with Attached Garage in Conservation Area
Our client had a large side garden and asked if we were able to assist in gaining Planning permission for a new dwelling. They did not want to leave the village but planned to down scale from the house they lived in and move into the new house when complete.
The plot was in a prominent street within the Conservation Area so we had to provide an in-keeping design including high quality materials in order to gain permission. Another challenge was providing enough parking for both houses and this involved a new detached garage for the existing house. The end result was a larger house than planned that looks like it has always been on the road and sits perfectly within its surroundings. Our client was very happy with the result and the size of house we achieved. The completed project has been put forward for the LABC Regional Building Quality awards 2022.
