Part Single & Part Two Storey Rear Extension, New Front Porch & Internal Alterations & Modernisation
Our client was looking to extend and update their 3 bedroom 1970’s brick faced home into a more modern and better laid out property. There was an integral Garage, the Hall was compact and the Kitchen was separated from the rest of the house. The first floor had one Bathroom and unusually the Master Bedroom had a shower and basin at one end. An important part of the brief was to create a luxury Master Bedroom/Dressing Room and En-suite.
The whole of the rear wall on the ground floor was removed which involved some complex structural design and steelwork which is typical of most of our projects. This allowed us to extend the Lounge out of the rear and incorporate a Snug at the front. It also enabled us to create a huge open plan Kitchen/Dining/Sitting Area with 7 metre wide sliding doors, the main feature of this house. To maximise the view and light we created a first floor extension with vaulted ceiling and feature glazing with door to the Master Bedroom/Dining and En-suite. The whole property had replacement windows to match the new doors and feature glazing finished in a dark green to complement the pale green render, quite a unique transformation.
